A Very Different War -RAAF Operations in the Korean War.

The long road of writing, editing and publication culminates in the day that a book finally hits the shelves of the bookstores. For my new book, “A Very Different War – RAAF Operations in the Korean War”, that day has arrived.

It goes without saying to many of you that this book is very close to my heart, with my father having flown 201 missions in Korea with 77 Squadron. However, beyond that, to work with the Air Force’s History and Heritage Branch was an honour in itself. And now the fruits of everyone’s labour is this book.

So many wonderful books on the RAAF in Korea have preceded “A Very Different War”, so the bar has been set very high. In compiling the book, I sought to source images that have not previously been published and to add sidebars relating to lesser-known individuals and aspects of the war. Hopefully, I have been able to pay an appropriate tribute to all that served and to those that supported them from afar.
