On a happier note, given the current state of affairs, the 2nd Edition of “Without Precedent” is now available!
A new final chapter describes how the events of that fateful flight in 1952 came to be investigated and the paper trail that stretched around the world that detailed the award of the Purple Heart. The story closes with a posthumous award to Phil in a moving ceremony at the Australian War Memorial.
Through wonderful support from the “History and Heritage Branch – Air Force” the new edition bears the RAAF badge on the cover and is honoured to feature a Foreword by ACM Mark Binskin AC (Ret’d).
